Blade Runner 2049 conclusively proves that you cannot polish a turd. The visuals were indeed polished but the movie was a ripe turd and the screenwriters and producers should be ashamed of themselves. - @Monday, November 5, 2018 6:24 PM

It would have been better had they provided subtitles. English isn't my first language and I find it a little difficult to follow what actors in hollywood movies are saying without subtitles. - @Monday, October 29, 2018 1:30 PM

One good performance and suddenly Leto is spoken of as if he's the next Brando. Don't forget the string of terrible to boring performances that make up the majority of his work - @Wednesday, October 24, 2018 6:53 PM

It is extremely hard to imagine anyone else playing Wallace so seamlessly and flawlessly as Jared Leto does. In fact, the entire cast of BR49 seems to fit right in. - @Monday, October 15, 2018 3:14 AM

Why havent they inserted this piece onto the DVD as a director's cut ???? I heard its on the Blue Ray and the beginning piece. - @Friday, October 12, 2018 4:19 PM

Niander Wallace is indeed a super genius, super industrialist, a super pioneer, and a towering scientific revolutionary. He is also a completely narcissistic megalomaniac with a psychopathic god complex. Reminds me of Lex Luthor. - @Friday, October 12, 2018 5:49 AM

Humanoid robots exist in movies because they can make movie violence even more violent. And that's as deep as this actually is, underneath all the pseudo-philosophical nonsense about "humanity". - @Wednesday, October 3, 2018 5:15 PM

I'm surprised to see so much praise for Jared Leto here. He comes off as trying way too hard. the only conversations I've ever had where people talk like this are with weebs that study the blade during the day and sleep with a body pillow at night. it's just fuckin weird. - @Wednesday, September 26, 2018 1:54 PM

Their sympathy for the replicant seems totally at odds with my understanding of the way they are treated in both movies. I feel like they added that in to this short just because they wanted tension between Wallace and the lawmakers. IMO would have been better off with a complex reaction...disgust and confused empathy at best...and some response to his "argument" here, rather than just gaping mouths. - @Monday, September 24, 2018 4:55 PM

It is all bleak visions of the future, science fiction is the most unAmerican of all genres. Great visuals do not make a great film - @Monday, September 24, 2018 9:07 AM

Man does Wallace remind me of Mr Sinister ! - @Sunday, September 23, 2018 12:34 PM

This scene is great but my only problem is Wallace is supposed to be talking to people with power. When I think about people with power in the Blade Runner world I imagine large, clean offices or large meeting rooms, long tables and lots of chairs. I imagine large windows facing the darkness of the city, bleak furniture yet durable and well built. A man sitting in his desk with a few other folks hanging out is not really what I would've imagined. While Jared is truly playing the part of enlightenment and transcendence the others are unremarkable, like I said these are supposed to be people with power. - @Saturday, September 22, 2018 7:44 AM

This short is so bad... Introducing the best generation of replicants in front of four dudes in a shabby apartment infested by rats ? Seriously ?! Dude, when the real nexus will be created, which wont happen before 5 or 6 centuries and not in 2036, it will be in front of a lot more serious crowd and place than this. - @Thursday, September 20, 2018 6:44 PM

Has more screentime here than in the whole of Blade Runner 2049. A shame - @Sunday, September 16, 2018 5:53 PM

Rutger Hauer on the original text of the "tears in rain" monologue: "Hauer described this as "opera talk" and "hi-tech speech" with no bearing on the rest of the film, so he "put a knife in it" the night before filming, without Scott's knowledge." This is the opposite of that. - @Saturday, September 15, 2018 1:47 PM
