I have 2 boys born in the US. And my doctor, the kids doctor and even the nurses at the hospital were pushing for circumcision for my babies,claiming that is cleaner and avoid penile cancer. Well if I remove my breast I wont have breast cancer, right?! It cost $300 for an infant circumcision and the insurance dont cover. Outside of the USA circumcision is only done if is necessary or for religious purposes. I did my research and I decided NOT to mutilate my kids. It literally takes 3 seconds to clean their genitals. I'm not American, it is not common practice in Australia, yet it is still done. We don't allow people to tattoo their children yet we allow them to have their genitals mutilated, sometimes for religious reasons but more often because the mother likes that look better or the father is done, not for any medical reasons.
