The film opens in 2001 with a middle-aged Steve Jobs (Ashton Kutcher) introducing the iPod at an Apple Town Hall meeting.[6] It then flashes back to Reed College in 1974. Jobs had already dropped out due to the high expense of tuition, but was still attending classes with the approval of Dean Jack Dudman (James Woods) who took him under his wing. Jobs is particularly interested in a course on calligraphy. He meets up with his friend Daniel Kottke (Lukas Haas) who is excited to see that Jobs is holding a copy of Be Here Now by Baba Ram Dass. Influenced by this book and his experiences with LSD, Jobs and Kottke spend time in India. Two years later, Jobs is back in Los Altos, California living at home with his adoptive parents Paul (John Getz) and Clara (Lesley Ann Warren). He is working for Atari and develops a partnership with his friend Steve Wozniak (Josh Gad) after he sees that Wozniak has built a personal computer (the Apple I). They name their new company Apple Computer, though ...

the trailer actually doesn't do this movie justice. It's actually a very well made movie and Ashton Kutcher nails steve jobs personality and all that. Honestly, don't let the "kelso" stupid character turn you off of anything with Ashton Kutcher. Watch the movie, he actually did very well. - @Thursday, July 7, 2016 7:15 PM

It is challenging to express much emotional feeling like humor, love, success and failure in tiny moments. But this trailer makes it. I don't like Apple products and I've never seen this movie but this trailer deserves more likes. - @Thursday, February 4, 2016 1:45 AM

This 2013 movie about Steve is showing what made Steve great, so it's much better than the newer film (2015) with Micheal Fassbender, which is showing the opposite. The newer one is to all who, for whatever reason, dislike Jobs. And perhaps, even dislike entrepreneurs. I also want to add that in my opinion it is far better to spend time focusing on what we want, not what we hate - so, fundamentally the newer movie (2015 version) is something, therefore, not to watch. - @Thursday, November 12, 2015 4:28 PM

This guy lied, cheated, and manipulated his way to the top, and was ridiculously egotistic enough to say he changed the world and everyone is believing him. Seems like humanity's taken a few steps back in evolution. - @Saturday, August 29, 2015 2:21 PM

its more accurate, its more of a documentary, it actually shows Steve Jobs' douchie side, I think this movie won't dare doing that. They won't show how Steve was more of a jerk back then, and how he stole ideas or how he had a partner too who helped a lot on the idea... - @Wednesday, June 26, 2013 10:13 PM

Awesome. Alright, so it's a common fact that the Apple I was built solely by Wozniak. Jobs and the rest of his friends helped build more Apple Is in his garage, and that was the birth of Apple. Now I would say in a mommy-daddy relationship, Woz is the birth mother of Apple. He started the revolution, not Jobs. But I would say that Jobs was the crazy father who made sure he was super strict on his son so that he would go on to do greater and better things. That is why I think he is the innovator. - @Wednesday, June 26, 2013 9:58 PM
