Texas greenhorn Joe Buck arrives in New York City for the first time. Preening himself as a real "hustler", he finds that he is the one getting "hustled" until he teams up with down-and-out but resilient outcast Ratso Rizzo. The initial "country cousin meets city cousin" relationship deepens. In their efforts to bilk a hostile world rebuffing them at every turn, this unlikely pair progress from partners in shady business to comrades. Each has found his first real friend.

Haha!  Is this the same special where they do a parody of Gone With the Wind??  If so, I remember this so well.  I would've been in about 3rd-4th grade at the time.  I don't remember this Midnight Cowboy skit, but Rickles plays Rhett Butler in GWTW. Scarlet O'Hara makes her dramatic teary-eyed speech "Tomorrow is another day!" and out of nowhere, a cream pie hits her smack in the face.  If this is the same special, do you have a clip of that part?  I also remember a take-off of "On the Waterfront." - @Friday, May 16, 2014 10:13 PM

This is classic!Anything Don & Don cannot do. First time I've seen this. Give Don Rickles an Academy award, surely he deserves it . Great comedian and afterall as he says as he looks around that he is the biggest name here. Don Rickles for President. - @Wednesday, October 31, 2012 10:43 AM

Midnight Cowboy was X-rated, but it was not the NUDE BOMB. - @Friday, October 19, 2012 11:36 AM

Probably took them forever to do that because Don Rickles loved to goof off and ad lib while Don Adams had a great memory and liked to memorize lines as he went along. - @Sunday, September 30, 2012 8:52 PM
