Trust me; we'd love to expand our roster. We're open to so many different filmmakers, but these guys you mention are frequently busy (or we just don't have a line on them). Because of our weird shooting requirements (we can only do it a few days a year), we're largely at the mercy of who is available when we shoot. If someone like Ang Lee was available to offer his time to record commentaries when we're not shooting, well, it's an unfortunate mischeduling and we'd have to try again next time. - @Wednesday, October 2, 2013 12:14 AM

There are Asian directors on this channel. Karyn Kusama for one. As for the lack of diversity...you have to remember, many of these talented folks (and Adam Rifkin :)) give their time freely to talk about their movies. But not everyone has that much time. It would be great to hear Spike Lee talk about a film that inspired him, as well as John Singleton, or John Woo/ Ang Lee. But a lot of these folks are busy with projects, so they don't have the time. - @Monday, September 30, 2013 7:42 PM
