John Morlar is watching the British television broadcast when an anchorman states that American astronauts are trapped in orbit around the moon. Suddenly someone in Morlar's room picks up a figurine and strikes him on the head repeatedly. His blood splatters the television screen. A French police inspector, Brunel, arrives at Morlar's apartment to begin an investigation. At first he thinks Morlar is dead, but soon he hears him breathe. At the hospital, Morlar is hooked up to life support systems, one machine in particular monitors the activity of his battered brain. Brunel discovers that Morlar has been in psychological analysis because of his history of being witness to many disasters, other people's disasters. Dr. Zonfeld, Morlar's analyst, explains that Morlar's delusions had begun when he was a child. He believed that he had caused a hated nanny's death. Morlar's childhood delusions were reinforced at a resort when he overheard his parents discussing him with disapproval. When his...

I always wondered how did Khalid Sheikh Mohammed the principal architect of 9/11 came up with the idea of using planes.Official records mention him thinking about planes as early as 1995 but exactly what inspired him is not clear.Could it be he saw this movie at some point in the late 80's early 90's and suddenly found the solution?'That's it!!!A plane would pack far more explosive punch than a truck bomb.I can't believe i had to watch a movie to get the idea.'If this is in any way true odds are we'll never know. - @Friday, November 2, 2018 3:04 PM

the plane scene was very prophetic, except of course, in reality, it happened in new york and not london, although that has always been london's biggest fear, until the so called 'terrorist' attacks which have happened over the past few years. of course there is an anti establishment message running through the film, although that doesn't mean it's wrong, just like 'v for vendetta' for instance. i wonder what evil is making the minds of boris johnson and theresa may, tick? - @Monday, April 16, 2018 12:09 PM

The producer Arnon Milchan was an Iaraeli agent involved with the Apollo Affair (Israel stole nukes from USA) and bribing Netanyahu. Interesting that he produced at least two films or movies involving a plane crashing into a skyscraper. The other being the episode of The Lone Gunmen that aired in March, 2001. Not really into telekinesis films but I've got to hand it to THE MEDUSA TOUCH: it holds up better and is alot more interesting & enjoyable than that other vastly overrated telekinesis film THE FURY which also came in 1978. - @Wednesday, January 3, 2018 4:36 PM

Really underrated movie from the 1970's. I recently got the 2006 digitally restored version of it on dvd (comes with a wee booklet wriiten by film crtitic Kim Newman). At first I thought Lee Remick's performance was a bit wooden, but then I realised (not to give the plot away too much) that's she acting someone who's hiding something. - @Tuesday, August 25, 2015 11:02 PM

No better man than Patrick Allen to do the voiceover for this trailer... ever since he did the Protect and Survive films his voice lends itself to clinical sh*t-your-pants sinisterness. - @Friday, September 28, 2012 8:40 PM

@45myob The seller is definitely recommended-the price was reasonable too. - @Thursday, August 11, 2011 12:07 AM

TheMasterNo6
@TheMasterNo6 No, you can buy it brand new, sealed, unused on ebay. A seller called 'ludovico_institute' sold me my copy. Can recommend him 100%. I guess he/shes a film buff too as that seller names from A Clock Work Orange. I guess Ventura was dubbed as his accent must have been too broad and his English a tiny bit bad but if you watch his mouth he matches the dub perfectly. Unless I didn't know I would't have guessed. - @Wednesday, August 10, 2011 6:11 PM

@Doctorgoatboy Lol nice one. Burton once said to a crew member on The Wild Geese who upset him by not allowing Glynn Baker, Sir Stanley Bakers son not sit at their table for lunch, when asked by the same crewman if he wanted a lift he replied: 'If I were dead and you were a hearse I wouldn't fucking travel IN you!' Burton was a legend. - @Wednesday, August 10, 2011 1:34 PM

TheMasterNo6
@45myob If you have a dvd player that can play all regions try ebay UK. Incidentally, Lino Ventura was dubbed for the English language release even though he spoke his parts in the film as his voice didn't come across well in recording. An English Actor called David de Keyzer did the dubbing. - @Wednesday, August 10, 2011 1:32 PM
