Action Fantasy Horror Mystery Thriller

7.6 / 10

Robert and Katherine Thorn seem to have it all. They are happily married and he is the US Ambassador to Great Britain, but they want nothing more than to have children. When Katharine has a stillborn child, Robert is approached by a priest at the hospital who suggests that they take a healthy newborn whose mother has just died in childbirth. Without telling his wife he agrees. After relocating to London, strange events - and the ominous warnings of a priest - lead him to believe that the child he took from that Italian hospital is evil incarnate.

Question for some expert on terror films, i remember a movie i see on a cinema, thats aboud 1982 to 1985, i was a small kid then, but cant find this movie, i have some memories of this (back then this movie was very scary for me), i remember a kid with a book or computer; i woman on a bathroom or taking a bath attacked for pigs, they eat or kill her; nad other scene where the boy was in a church (the boy was possesed) with a sword, floating from the top to the back and cutting heads with the sword; does someone knows the name of this movie ? - @Wednesday, June 29, 2016 5:32 AM

This film was the scariest film I saw as a kid. It totally fucked with your head and that's dangerous for a little kid still trying to figure out the world around him. But it's my favourite scariest movie. It doesn't use gore or any of those cliched tricks to frighten you. They created a story based on a prophecy in the Bible and I think that was part of the thing that made it freaky because part of you thought there could be some truth in it and THAT was the scariest thought. I'm not religous at all but when I was kid I didn't know what to make of it. And Jerry Goldsmith's score is pure genius! The music fit the film so perfectly that him winning an Oscar made so much sense. - @Wednesday, December 18, 2013 11:23 PM
