Yeas ago I wrote a book on Orson Welles Don Quijote. I met the editor who worked with him on the project and I saw a lot of unpublished material. For a few years, when I was younger, I tried to fight so that all the film lying in a warehouse in Rome would be saved. Legal struggles have never allowed this to happen. I firmly believe that Don Quijote should not be concluded or that no one should even think to try to edit it. But with regard to the other side of the wind, honestly, if anyone was allowed to finish it instead of Orson, it's fine with me. I will enjoy all the shots, scene after scene. The shitty style of the trailer makes it look like any modern shitty movie from a mediocre Hollywood director. Wells didn't finish it and asked Boganovich (his close friend) to do it. However, Bogdanovich finally declined because, as he explained, Wells did post production in his unique way. So it was impossible to finish it for him. So, in my opinion, Netflix should leave it.
