Action Adventure Horror Thriller

A team of U.S. archaeologists unearths an ancient pyramid buried deep beneath the Egyptian desert. As they search the pyramid's depths, they become hopelessly lost in its dark and endless catacombs. Searching for a way out, they become desperate to seek daylight again. They come to realize they aren't just trapped, they are being hunted.

Why do they insist on making this found footage style? Some of these shots don't even fit that format. Just shoot it like a friggin movie. Directed by Alexandre Aja's regular co-writer. It feels like an Alexandre Aja movie (and loads of those shots really don't look like found footage shots). I think this could be really cool. Only a pity that it's not made by Universal, because I heard rumours that they were planning on doing a series of movies leading to an Avengers-style Monster Mash movie. (As in combining major Universal Horror monsters in one movie.) It would have been cool to have a Mummy from this in the same movie as the Dracula from "Dracula Untold" (which IS a Universal production). - @Tuesday, August 26, 2014 9:42 PM
