Carl Fredricksen as a boy wanted to explore South America and find the forbidden Paradise Falls. About 64 years later he gets to begin his journey along with a Boy Scout named Russel by lifting his house with thousands of balloons. On their journey, they make many new friends including a talking dog and figure out that someone has evil plans. Carl soon realizes that this evildoer is his childhood idol.

this is the worst trailer for one wonderful movie. i just watched the movie and little did i know it's theme is a heart rendering story of love, faithfulness, loyalty through time between a married couple -- none of which was captured by the trailer. and that it also has a great them song. the "adventure" is a just a garnish to the theme. - @Wednesday, February 20, 2013 2:56 AM

Colby Curtin got her final wish. The 10-year-old girl desperately wanted to see the new Pixar movie, “Up.” But the cancer-stricken girl was too sick to go to a theater. So a family friend contacted someone at Pixar to see if they could help. The very next day, Pixar flew in an employee with a bag of “Up” memorabilia and a DVD version of the film.
